The business for sale is an affiliate online marketplace platform based in Romania, that offers to over 850 active member companies not only an extra way to promote their products, but also an effective channel to increase their sales volume.
The company is clean and reliable, and the same is applicable to the shareholders – 2 local business persons.
Members are active Romanian online stores aiming to benefit from extra promotion and sales opportunities, apart from their own e-commerce website. After signing up, each member benefits from its own subdomain, its own customized products / categories structure and from the possibility to introduce any general terms and conditions of commercial sale – therefore, most of them perceive this subdomain as a stand-alone website.
There is not imposed a signing-up fee.
The following 6 product categories are most populated on platform: Interiors / home (household products, interior design, furniture), Clothes & footwear, Cosmetics & Hygiene, Health (Pharmaceuticals, Tea), Jewelry / Watches & Gifts.
Depending on the type of products sold and the retail markup (gross margin) used by the new member, company negotiates a commission on the orders completed through the platform. Based on this commission and the data provided, the two parts (the platform and the member) sign the „Intermediation Contract”, which will thereafter represent the basis of a partnership.
In 2017, 850 online member stores are affiliated to platform, with a negotiated and agreed commission through an Intermediation Contract – all of them drawn in through word of mouth, with no promotional campaigns.
Users perceive the platform as an online store with a huge variety of products, which can be ordered from several online stores. After placing an order within the site, each customer receives a confirmation e-mail with all the necessary data (i.e. the order was placed, he/she will be contacted by the member store, the member store’s contact info, in case any problems emerge etc).
The platform is highly automated, its current form requiring a low involvement of its team, only when it comes to the following secondary tasks:
- Managing new members
- Double-checking the accuracy of the orders
- Double-checking the changes made by member stores in pro-forma invoices
- Managing miscellaneous changes requested by member stores
- Handling requests/complaints sent by users directly to the platform
- Various technical interventions requested by members.
Staff is currently composed of a project manager- the Owner, Support/sales tea- 2 people, 1 SEO Programmer, 1 Developer.
