The original company of the Group is the GST Steel Gdansk (Poland), which is active since 1993. The GST Steel AG in Gelsenkirchen was founded in August 2007 and launched in November 2007 as a holding company’s operations. As a holding company is involved in several international, legally and organizationally independent subsidiaries.
With the entry on 08 August 2011, the GST Steel AG received a new name, GST Service AG, and a new logo. The name change reflects the realignment is illustrated as a pure service company for commercial services. The operating business is performed by the subsidiaries in numerous European locations.
The CEO is provided by Mr. Franz Josef Schübbe. Mr. Schübbe is an economist and was successful as a manager working for Scaffolding in various enterprises. He has over 40 years of professional and industry experience.
