TÜV Rheinland, headquartered in Cologne, is a leading inspection and certification body and in Germany, with a history of 140 years. 79 factory owners around Wuppertal agreed to found an association called DUV on 31 October 1872 for the inspection of steam boilers operated by 249, the number of accidents and explosions caused by their use is high. This organization was the predecessor of TÜV today. Technical activities of the Organization were then grown with the emergence of new technical risks.
