Bergenbier S.A. is part of Molson Coors Central Europe, one of the biggest brewers in Central and Eastern Europe.
Bergenbier’s history starts in 1994 at Blaj, when Interbrew takes over the majority stake of Bianca SA. During the same year, the company buys the brewery in Baia Mare and founds the National Distribution Company (Compania de Distributie National) as a distribution centre for the Blaj and Baia Mare beers.
In 1995, Bergenbier is launched. The name “Beer from the mountains”, the translation for the German word Bergenbier represents a promise of quality, freshness and purity of ingredients.
